Chelsea + Kevin - Potter's Place

Sometimes, things are just meant to be. For many of our couples, 2020 presented many unique challenges. Postponed weddings, loss of venues, restrictions on size of gatherings, more postponements… For Chelsea and Kevin, the loss of their venue after having to change their original wedding date ended up being a blessing in disguise.

Chelsea grew up in Rangeley, Maine, and has always had a deep connection to the location. The lakes, the forests, being surrounded by nature and family. When she needed to find a new location for their wedding, it seemed like the natural choice. When she found Potter’s Place, all the pieces fit together.

Chelsea and Kevin, their beautiful children, their wedding party and their family were all able to stay together, laugh, celebrate, and get ready for the wedding in one place. The beautiful backdrop provided by the property allowed us to get some different and amazing photos, including some killer shots of them in a canoe, and the drone shots of them on the dock. Because they weren’t on the normal time frame of a venue rental, we were able to play around with our photography, creating unique and beautiful photos for them to enjoy for their lifetime together.

Seeing their joy and love for each other, and for their family, with the stunning backdrop of the lake and mountains, was one of the highlights of our year. We are so happy for our couples to finally get their dream weddings, even when they aren’t what they had originally thought they would be. If 2020 taught us anything, it is that we are all resilient and things on the other side can be better than we ever imagined.
