Designed by the trusted and experienced custom fabrication team at BioPharm Engineered Systems, the SUM-T has been crafted to provide development, pilot and small‐scale manufacturing operations a versatile, space-saving, and customizable platform that is easy to operate. The SUM-T is highly configurable and is preprogrammed with multiple processes on a single platform:

  • Including Low Pressure Chromatography

  • Tangential Flow Filtration

  • Normal Filtration or Buffer Dilution

Transforming the SUM-T from process to process is as easy as securing BioPharm standard single-use tube sets along the color-coded flow paths and standard tube sets are stocked and are available for immediate delivery to customers as needed.

Mobile auxiliary carts send and receive processing feed, buffers, and product to and from the Main unit using single-use bags.

This skid makes use of BioPharm’s own open-source Rockwell-based software, Process Control Interface (PCI), making it simple to integrate into existing site SCADA or control platforms. PCI is a user friendly control platform that allows for customization of every facet of the SUM-T.

Its small footprint and wheels allow the unit to be moved wherever needed with ease. And the system only requires standard 120 volt power, compressed air, and waste lines to get started.
